What People are Saying about “Slapped”

Event: October 28, 2025, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

  1. “Yes!! You could show this film at St. Ignatius High School as I graduated from there, and we would deal with diversity and it would open the student’s mind. I also think you could show this to Cleveland State University.”

  2. “The end of the film was powerful to me because both people walked away changed. The elevator in a way acted as a cocoon of sorts. The encounter that the two characters shared is not happening at the frequency that it should. Very powerful film, food for thought, action.”

  3. “Yes with additional facilitation, well demonstrates the assumptions we make about each group. The resolution was realistic—being stuck in an elevator got the conversations started & there is sure much more territory to cover. Good job! As always!!

  4. “Great movie. Good door opener for conversation. People can see themselves in the two women.”

  5. “Yes! This film would be a great catalyst for open, honest and difficult conversations regarding race, racism and humanity. It’s a reality we all experience.”

  6. “I liked the part when they start to become friends. Over all a great story.”

  7. “Yes. Looking forward to part II.”
